Model Context Protocol server

Run your job search
from inside your AI.

NextJobMate is an MCP server. Connect it once to Claude, Cursor, Codex, or ChatGPT and your assistant can search live roles, score and tailor your CV, build gap docs and interview prep — grounded in real postings and your real experience.

It never submits applications for you. prepare_application stages every apply for your review.
bash
claude mcp add --transport http nextjobmate https://api.nextjobmate.com/mcp
What it is

One connection, your whole hunt.

The Model Context Protocol lets an AI client call external tools over a standard interface. NextJobMate exposes your job search as those tools — so the assistant you already use can drive the search, the scoring, the tailoring, and the prep, and hand back real links you can act on.

Search that's real

Queries hit NextJobMate's own deduped corpus of live postings with full JD bodies and freshness checks — not a stale index.

Honest tailoring

CV rewrites are provenance-validated and never invent experience. ATS scores are leveled and capped, with a clear "still missing" floor.

Never auto-applies

There is no submit tool. Every write tool stages for your review — the terminal apply stays a human-attended action, always.

Setup

Connect your client.

Pick your AI client. Each takes under a minute — you sign in once through your browser, and the tools appear in chat.

One command in your terminal. Claude Code speaks HTTP MCP natively.

  1. 1

Add NextJobMate as an HTTP MCP server:

    bash
claude mcp add --transport http nextjobmate https://api.nextjobmate.com/mcp
  2. 2

Start a session and sign in when prompted (OAuth in your browser). Then ask Mate to find and tailor for a role:

    text
    > find me remote senior backend roles and score my CV against the best one
Tool reference

Twelve tools. Zero surprises.

Every tool declares a read or write scope, granted on the consent screen when you connect. Write tools prepare and stage — nothing submits an application on your behalf.

Safety by design: there is no submit_application tool. Terminal submission stays behind a gated, human-approved apply flow — never an autonomous agent action.
